Hello,

If your girls haven’t told you already, we beat the undefeated team in our
league yesterday! I am so proud of our progression this season!


All of the girls did a great job! They all tried each position on the field
and a handful of the girls tried goalie. I hope they all started to feel
more comfortable playing lacrosse, individually and as a team. As they
continue to play, you will see defense played as a one unit, midfield
transitions, a more structure offense with plays and more passes and of
course checking. The girls will begin checking in 7th and 8th grade, no
worries- it is only stick to stick checking, they are not allowed to hit
each other like the boys. Yesterday, the girls got a little taste of
checking. The refs were inexperienced and were letting the other team check
the stick if the stick was below the waist. That should have never happened
so I spoke with the refs at half time and fixed the situation.


I will be sending a note and some things to work on over the summer to the
girls within the next week or so. If you haven’t already, *please send me
your address* so I can send a note and some things to work on over the

*Uniforms-*

A few of you turned your uniform yesterday and received your deposit back.
If you have not turned in your uniform, I will be at Horace Mann at 6pm to
collect the uniforms and give out the rest of the deposits. If your daughter
would like to come along for the ride we can play some fun games and get
them tired out. If you already turned in your uniform and your daughter
would like to come play some games, she is more than welcome! If you cannot
make it tomorrow please send your uniform to:

I will send you your deposit in the mail after I receive the uniform. A few
of you have turned your uniform in but I did not have the deposit with me, I
know the 1st-3rd grade coach has a few of the checks so I will mail you your
deposits on Wednesday morning.


I hope all the girls had as much fun as I did this season, thank you so much
for everything! Please let me know if you have any questions about lacrosse
and what the girls should be doing. If they ever need some instruction or
help with anything I am always available and would be happy to help!
