Dear R. Hunter Biden,

I wanted to reach out to you personally and introduce myself. My name is Troy Price, and I'm the Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party. I am sending you a note because the stakes are high here in the Hawkeye State this year, and we're trying to build a robust grassroots army to make sure we get the job done for the November elections.

If the 2016 elections taught us one thing, it's that we cannot afford to fall asleep at the wheel. We all thought -- myself included -- that we had won the election before voters even went to the polls. We can't afford to make that same mistake again in 2018. And we're doing everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen.

We have a lot of potential to take our state back in November, and we are already starting to lay the groundwork in every corner of the state. This year, we have the real opportunity to:

Retire far-right Republican Governor Kim Reynolds
Take back the U.S. House -- going straight through Iowa -- by flipping key congressional districts from Republican to Democrat
Give future Governor Fred Hubbell Democratic majorities in the state House and Senate
R. Hunter Biden, just imagine the progress we could make for Iowa families if we achieved these goals.

But I'll be blunt: reaching all of these goals won't be an easy task. And that's exactly why I'm sending you this email. Because there's no way we will get the job done without your grassroots support.

The Iowa Democratic Party is committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot -- not only in 2018, but in elections years down the line. And you're an integral part of fulfilling that commitment.
