Here's How You Can Help It Is Now Very Personal!!! It’s Personal for me. It’s personal for somebody you know. Here's how you can help! Friends, Each year 200,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. It can strike any man. It can impact any family! As many of you know this year it’s even more personal for me. I am fighting my own battle with prostate cancer. I’m happy to let you know that I have successfully completed my treatments. My very first PSA is 0.02! While I am on the road to recovery, many other men will have to face a diagnosis of prostate cancer. That is why I am encouraging all of you to join me to fight hard, to advocate, educate and to raise as many dollars as possible for research, free screenings and awareness. Here’s what you can do right now - Mark you calendar for Sunday, September 23rd at 7:30 a.m. Be there for the Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk. The event is being held again at Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University. With two months to go, we’ve raised nearly $250,000 to date towards a goal of $1,000,000. I thank you for responding with so much generosity! Let’s keep going towards our goal! Come out to support me and someone you care about who has been touched by prostate cancer or any cancer. Form your running and walking teams now! Spread the word for the 2018 ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk on your Facebook, Twitter or other social media. Visit our website at www.zerobaltimore.org. Our prostate cancer research scholarship through the Urology Care Foundation of the American Urological Association has been fully funded to $1,100,000. Now we have started our 2nd scholarship to help inspire urologists to publish scientific and clinical papers to advance our understanding of prostate cancer, genetics and treatment.
