Hunter,

I hope you were able to attend Thursday’s panel, where I joined with some of Delaware’s thought leaders and entrepreneurs -- Lauren Miller, Eugene Young, Denita Henderson, and Derrick Reed -- to discuss economic mobility for Delawareans.

We had a great discussion about one of the biggest challenges of our time -- the idea that intergenerational economic mobility seems less possible now than it used to be. One of the promises of the American dream is that with each generation, our families can get further ahead and create better lives.

On Thursday, we talked about ways to make this promise a reality for Delawareans. We discussed ways to make the economy work for everyone, not just a few at the top. In Congress, I will continue to fight to ensure that Delawareans are able to get ahead and stay ahead.
