A Guide to Georgetown's Newest Restaurants

Plus, what's coming soon and what's being revamped.

When it comes to restaurant neighborhoods, Georgetown has always been an
inconsistent one. There are some clear standouts, from *Fiola Mare* to *Bourbon
Steak*, and other reliable standbys, from *Pizzeria Paradiso
<http://dc.eater.com/venue/pizzeria-paradiso-2>* to *Sweetgreen*. But it's
also a neighborhood subject both to frequent turnover (most recently, the
closing of an
<http://dc.eater.com/2016/1/15/10774988/five-guys-georgeown-closing> iconic
Five Guys location), and to the proliferation of mediocre tourist traps.

But here's the good news: it seems like more new restaurants have been
opening in Georgetown than usual, and many are promising additions to the
neighborhood. Here's a rundown of what's new and what's coming soon.
Brand New:

originally out of Japan, is D.C.'s new home for eclairs, cream puffs and

*The Sovereign:* Neighborhood Restaurant Group's new Belgian beer bar
