The deadline to resign without remitting payment has passed. To avoid administrative suspension, your license renewal and payment must be received on or before October 1st. If you do not renew, your license will be suspended and you will no longer be able to practice law in the District of Columbia.

Please contact us at 202-626-3475 to renew your law license before the deadline. Remember, non-payment of dues will result in administrative suspension and does not equate resignation*.

If you renew online a receipt will be emailed to the email address on file.

*If you intended to resign without payment, your resignation form must have been received by August 30. Under the Rules Governing the Bar, a resignation cannot take effect until it is accepted by the Secretary of the Bar and after consultation with Disciplinary Counsel. The review process takes a minimum of 30 days. All members resigning after August 30thare responsible for the dues associated with their 2018-19 license renewal to avoid suspension. Payment can be made online or by phone.
