Despite living as independently as possible and working from home, Tucker has required constant round the clock assistance to get out of bed, eat, and maintain his daily hygiene. But since Gov. Reynolds' privatization of Medicaid, Tucker's essential in-home care has been reduced. Even with dedicated friends and family working furiously to find solutions (including his Aunt Rita Hart), Tucker was forced to sell his home and move to find the care he needs.

Gov. Reynolds' Medicaid privatization disaster is destroying the lives of Iowans that need our help the most -- and just last week she announced that managed care organizations overseeing the program will be getting a raise of over $100 million.

Our state needs new leadership that can tackle this disaster with a simple solution: bringing Medicaid back under state control.
