Each year, we find ourselves busier than ever before in our work at the Greater Philadelphia Chapter to end ALS. When we put together this month’s newsletter, everyone was amazed at how many projects are going on at once to help us reach our goals. From impressive research to big names coming to our events to awards, advocacy, and more, we are fully engaged in The ALS Association mission. Check out our latest news and find more ways to get involved at www.alsphiladelphia.org <https://www.alsphiladelphia.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fwww.alsphiladelphia.org&srcid=44043&srctid=1&erid=10244916&trid=8e92484e-6a33-4a35-abfd-c76d7c70e827>. * Our Annual Hot Chocolate event takes place next Thursday, March 10 at Adventure Aquarium. In addition to having Preston Elliot from WMMR 93.3 emcee, Dr. Jill Yersak will give a special update to VIP guest about the latest in ALS research, we will have the famous chocolate fountain and many other chocolate treats, and Hot Hot Hot Entertainment will provide fantastic music. Reserve your spot at www.alshotchocolate.org <https://www.alsphiladelphia.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fwww.alshotchocolate.org&srcid=44043&srctid=1&erid=10244916&trid=8e92484e-6a33-4a35-abfd-c76d7c70e827> now. * Dr. Zach Simmons and the team at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center are embarking on an extensive research initiative with help from our Chapter. Each month, we are helping them educate families about their projects and let people know how they can get involved. This month, Dr. Simmons writes about his associate Dr. Andrew Geronimo and his work on Brain Computer Interface.
