Runde ------------------------------------------------------------ Senior Vice President Director, Project on Prosperity and Development William A. Schreyer Chair in Global Analysis, CSIS In partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan, the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development will publish a report titled Financing the Quality Infrastructure Agenda: Next Steps. The demand for quality infrastructure in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond is both a challenge and an opportunity for the international community. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) estimates that Asia alone will require more than $1.7 trillion annually through 2030, to support its growing infrastructure needs. Public finance on its own cannot close the infrastructure gap, and with foreign aid limited to a few hundred billion dollars each year, the global demand for quality infrastructure will require financing from diverse sources including the private sector, multilateral development banks (MDBs), and others. A discussion on the need for a shared understanding of the fundamental principles of quality infrastructure - and its consolidation as a universally-accepted international standard - will be useful. Please join us at CSIS (1616 Rhode Island Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20036) for this timely discussion on the next steps that the United States and Japan must take to achieve the quality infrastructure agenda. ============================================================ This event is made possible through generous support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. ** 4bde2700-3f50-471c-8398-aaf2d39e7ea7.png (https://twitter.com/CSIS_USLD?utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=3fb1993642-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_01_02_COPY_04&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-3fb1993642-145367789) ** a4a0cd19-112c-4480-b04d-b5fc26ca3857.png (https://www.facebook.com/USLD.CSIS/?utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=3fb1993642-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_01_02_COPY_04&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-3fb1993642-145367789) ** 261d59cf-ea67-42eb-b72d-cf453b4ca660.png (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/building-future-freedom-prosperity/id1163347389?mt=2&utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=3fb1993642-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_01_02_COPY_04&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-3fb1993642-145367789) Click ** to subscribe (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/building-future-freedom-prosperity/id1163347389?mt=2&utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=3fb1993642-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_01_02_COPY_04&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-3fb1993642-145367789) to our international development podcast, featuring Director Daniel F.
