I spoke with Amtrak this morning and found out some more information
on your trip to the Greenbrier in August. They confirmed that they
recently received the request and expect it to get approved early next
week. The individual who directly handles the special car movements is
off on Fridays and Saturdays, but I was assured that there were going
to be no issues with the car on those dates. The process is that
Amtrak will notify the private car owner that the request has been
approved and then they will notify you.
