As a follow up to our discussion with regard to President Kwasniewski, let me briefly lay out some key facts. Following my terms as Serbian Foreign Minister and President of UN General Assembly, in late 2013 I founded an international public policy thinktank - the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD). Our Board consists of a number of sitting and former top national and international officials, as well as renowned academics. I'm attaching some basic information about CIRSD to this email. This month we have launched our quarterly English language publication "Horizons - Journal of International Relations and Sustainable Development". I gave you a hard copy of the inaugural issue of Horizons earlier today, but I'm nevertheless attaching a pdf of its first few pages for your instant reference. The main theme of our second issue will be the current state of, and the outlook for the relations between Russia and the West. For this topic, we have so far secured contributions from very respected authors like Joseph Nye, Mario Monti, Wolfgang Ischinger, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, Thierry de Montbrial and Lamberto Zannier. However, the Russian perspective will be layed out by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. We believe that we need to balance it out with an equally strong view - in terms of both eloquence and stature. We jointly came to the conclusion that President Kwasniewski would be an ideal author in this regard. We'd be enormously greatful if you could facilitate this. Horizons essays are typically 4,000-5,000 words long, and the deadline for submissions for this issue is December 1st, 2014. All additional questions may be directed to Horizons Editor, Mr.Damjan Krnjevic (damjan.krnjevic@cirsd.org - copied to this message). Thank you once again for your kind offer to assist. Kind regards, Vuk Jeremic President of CIRSD Horizons Editor-in-Chief Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
