Some things are so obvious that people look at you funny just for bringing them up. Like if you ask whether you should stick a fork in an electrical outlet, or if you point out that the Koch brothers may not have the public's best interest at heart.

Well this is so obvious I shouldn't have to say it, but I'm going to anyway -- if we miss our $35O,OOO goal for October, we're going to be in trouble with election day in early November.

More obvious facts: GOTV operations cost money. Running ads to counter super PAC smears? That costs money, too.

Even more obviousness for you: I only won by 312 votes last time. And with my opponent on the air with attacks, with super PACs spending money against me, and polls getting tighter -- we need all of those votes and then some to win this year.

That ground game costs -- you guessed it -- money. If you can spare $5, you'll be helping us get out the vote in the final, critical days of this year's campaign.
