Hunter - It isn't always easy for veterans who want to run for office. Elections are expensive, and generally veterans tend not to be wealthy people. As a veteran candidate myself, no one really gave me a chance during my first race for Congress in 2012. I trailed a well-funded opponent by 45 points in the early polls and was counted out by much of the political establishment. But I ran a grassroots campaign that put people ahead of politics, and with the help of VoteVets, we overcame the odds and won a six-way primary with over 55% of the vote. Now we have a chance to elect even more veterans to Congress, and I'm happy to help VoteVets make it happen. With less than one week to go, please join me and contribute $5 to VoteVets Veterans Election Fund today. http://action.votevets.org/candidates VoteVets has stepped up and directly supported over three dozen candidates running for state and federal offices across the country: I'm proud to have been one of them. I am eager to serve in the House with veterans like Seth Moulton, Ruben Gallego, and of course Mark Takai. Your contribution enables VoteVets to do even more before Election Day. I hope you'll make it here: http://action.votevets.org/candidates Thank you for standing with me, and with VoteVets. Mahalo nui loa, Tulsi---- This email was sent to hbiden@rosemontseneca.com.
