Dear Hunter,

As a member of NDI's Chairman’s Council, I would like to invite you to
serve as a member of the Host Committee for our annual Democracy Award
Dinner. This year’s event will be held on December 9th at the Ritz-Carlton
hotel in Washington, DC.


The dinner will include a keynote address by Vice President Biden and
remarks by NDI Chairman Madeleine Albright. The gathering will honor three
courageous democrats who made the transition from protest to politics
during the dramatic and tumultuous events in Ukraine over the past year.
All three led the so-called Euromaidan demonstrations but later entered
politics in order to contribute to the long-term development of their
country. They joined political parties and two were elected to parliament
following last Sunday's legislative polls.


As a member of the Host Committee, you would be listed on the formal
invitation and dinner program. And we hope that you will be able to attend
the dinner and sponsor a table for your friends and associates. This
annual gathering attracts more than 700 guests and includes Members of
Congress and representatives of the diplomatic corp, business, and
philanthropic communities. We would be grateful for your participation.
