FYI, Orduz was in today. After he left, Jay said that he had a new idea. Orduz wants to "hire" us in an advisory capacity to help make introductions for the fund he is starting focused on investments in Colombia. I told Jay that that was great and in line with what worked for us. However, Orduz doesn't want to pay us a retainer but instead wants to give us a piece of the fund and tie it to the money raised. Told him that model probably didn't work for us, but we would discuss. Again, would in essence require you to go to a bunch of meetings with Orduz where he is pitching people. Eric D.
