Dear Hunter,

I thought I had sent this note earlier but just found it in my drafts. I was at the reception DCVLP the night before the news was released and had a long talk with Kathleen which Julie and I enjoyed immensely.

When I saw the story about your Navy separation several months earlier it appeared to be old news delayed. I believe the media set about raising the issue months after the fact a political stunt. You admitted your mistake and you paid dearly by losing a chance to serve the country by enlisting in the Navy.

We continue to view our friendship with you and Kathleen as an important part of our lives and want you to know that we support you as you move forward. You have always been a good friend willing to reach out and provide assistance to me, Mac and Julie whenever it was needed.
