Dear 4X Parents, Can you believe that there are only 8 school days left?! It is a busy time for our 4th graders so please read through all of the information below. We hope you have a great long weekend! Peggy and Estee Upcoming Dates to Remember: June 2 -- 4th Grade (Grade-Wide) Picnic 5-7 pm at LS June 6 -- China Festival from 6- 8 pm. June 9 -- Graduation at 9 am ********************** CALLING ALL BOOKS Please help your child find all of their MISSING 4X classroom library and school library BOOKS. Look in cars, under beds, and on your book shelves for the PRECIOUS MISSING BOOKS! ****************** SOS Pickles, our lovable and famous 4X Guinea Pig needs a good summer home. She has a home for the fall but needs summer care because her new owners will be traveling all summer. She is only a about one year old, very tame, and lovable. Pickles comes with a cage, water bottle, starter supply of food and cage bedding. Her cage only needs cleaning once a week and she can be left with food and water for long weekends. If you have room in your heart and home for Pickles or know someone who can care for her please, call or e-mail Pam or Merry. ****************** MIDDLE SCHOOL WELCOME EVENT We wanted to invite all of the fourth grade families to join us on Sunday, June 5th from 2:00-4:00 in the MS wetland gardens (the space between the MS and the US) for an ice cream social. This will be a great opportunity to hang-out with other MS families (current and new). We will be conducting a modified scavenger hunt that day, so please let us know if your rising fifth grader was unable to attend the scavenger hunt earlier this month. We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you to the Middle School! All the best- Andrea and Sung Hee (Middle School Welcome Committee Clerks) andrea.miano@gmail.com *********************** CANNED INSTEAD OF FRESH VEGGIES! Please send your student to school with a canned vegetable or fruit the next two Wednesdays and help us make sure that the food pantries have supplies for needy families during the summer! Donated foods will be delivered to Martha's Pantry and A Wider Circle. ********************************************* MATH REVIW FOR RISING 5TH GRADERS Merry Adelfio (LS Math Coordinator) will be holding math review sessions for all interested students at the end of the summer just before school starts.
