I checked out the DCVLP website and I am very interested in volunteering.
It looks like a great group of attorneys lending their time to an
overlooked cause. I'm eager to speak with Karen Barker Marcou about how I
can get involved.

I also looked into the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of VA
- the website shows no current job openings. I'll keep my eye on both this
and the DOJ website.

1. *EPA:* I applied for an Attorney-Advisor position within the Office of
Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Office of Site Remediation
Enforcement (OSRE). The job announcement number is CI-OECA-OT-2011-0001.
It is an excepted service position. Cynthia Giles is the OECA's Assistant
Administrator. She was appointed to the position in May 2009 by Obama and
EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.

2. *Occupational Safety & Health Review Commission (OSHRC):* I just
recently applied for a vacant Attorney-Advisor position within OSHRC's
Office of General Counsel. The job announcement number is OS-2011-03. It
is an excepted service position. Thomasina V. Rogers is the OSHRC Chairman.
She was first appointed to the OSHRC in 1998 by Clinton. Since then, she
was reappointed to the OSHRC and in May 2009, President Obama designated her
as Chairman. Nadine Mancini, appointed August 2008, is General Counsel.

3. *Department of Commerce*: I am going to apply for the vacant
Attorney-Advisor position within in the Office of the Inspector General. It
is an excepted service position requiring a two-year trial period. The job
announcement number is DOC-OIG-2011-0034. The Inspector General is Todd J.
Zinser and he was appointed in December 2007.
