Greetings Lourie Center Friends!

This news brief contains 1) Information regarding the Whole Foods 1%
day for us on Wednesday May 18th, 2) An announcement about the new look
of our website and logo, and 3) A note regarding the Annual Benefit
with our special guest Dr. Jill Biden and links to 2 articles. Please
feel free to share this news with friends and colleagues - and thank you
for your continuing support of the Lourie Center.


1) Please save your grocery shopping till Wednesday May 18, 2011 at the
new Whole Foods in Rockville. When you shop there on May 18, 1% will be
donated to the Lourie Center! Drop by to say hello to our staff from 10
am to 6 pm.

Please Note: the store has recently moved closer to White Flint Mall:

Whole Foods Market Rockville is located at 11355 Woodglen Dr,
Rockville, MD 20852 (across the street from Woodglen Dr). FREE garage
parking is available for Whole Foods Market Rockville customers and
visitors. The parking garage entrance is located on Woodglen Drive.

2) We are very excited to announce that the Lourie Center has unveiled
a new logo and a fully redesigned website! This is a refreshing new look
for the Lourie Center that better reflects the programs and services our
staff members provide and the children and families we serve today.

The new logo was designed to reflect warmth, energy, and our
family-centered approach to therapeutic services. The new website,
www.louriecenter.org, gives the Lourie Center a bright and modern
look and it includes a number of new features such as client success
stories, a convenient on-line donation tab, events calendar, and a
multimedia news center.

Please take a moment to browse the new site and be sure to visit
periodically as we add new information.

honored Montgomery County Executive Isiah “Ike” Leggett and renowned
infant metal health expert Dr. Georgia DeGangi, a former Lourie Center
Director of Research and Training. Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice
President Joe Biden, also attended the benefit as a special guest.

Thank you to all who joined us in person or in support. To date we have
raised over $75,000 to support the programs and services of the Lourie
Center.
