Hello Hunter and Kathleen,


I hope this email finds you both well and enjoying the summer! I think I
saw your daughter Finnegan?? in a picture in the paper with Joe at the World
Cup? That must have been exciting for her, if indeed it was she!


A couple of things I would like to check in about:

. I am writing with an update about the Former JV national advisory
group which I had hoped to launch this fall. We are working on a major
grant to extend our fundraising and alumni work and this will be a piece in
the grant. Because of this grant I am having to postpone the group for some
months. Thank you for your patience. I am hoping you will both still
consider this possibility!


. I will be coming again to DC in September (September 15-18) for the
national AmeriCorps meeting. I enjoy this opportunity to see you all and
visit other formers. Last year was such a lovely gathering at your home.
Thank you Kathleen for all your amazing efforts to make it such a success!
Hunter, we were sorry the Navy conflicted with your ability to be present,
and appreciated your willingness to host the event. Would you all have any
ideas about a gathering this year? You have been so gracious to host the
event in the past - it would be wonderful again - and I do not want to
impose unless this would be something you would like to do. Another idea is
a gathering at a pub, restaurant? Or?


I would be grateful for your thoughts.
