To best achieve this goal, US Lacrosse =elieves that leagues, associations, and other organizers of youth lacrosse=should seek to provide playing opportunities that, as much as possible, es=ablish a "level playing field" among players of similar age, siz=, and ability. </strong><br /> <br /> <strong><strong>Bethesda Lacrosse abides by US Lacrosse rules and=regulations in every other aspect and is now abiding by their age reg=lations. </strong>Using birthyear groupings will allow our teams to be bet=er aligned when playing other clubs as it is used by most league= nationwide. </strong><strong>As US Lacrosse recommends, exceptions can be=made. Exceptions will be considered at the Bethesda Lacrosse Commissioner&=39;s discretion.</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>When registering for Fall Ball we have enabled you to indicate=which coach you had last season and which coach you would like next season= Do not worry if you are not sure which coaches are available for your dau=hter’s age group. We will try to keep girls from the same schools to=ether, and you will have a chance when registering to make any special req=ests.</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>If your daughter would like to try out for a select team, registrat=on for tryouts will open on July 15<sup>th</sup>. The U15 (read: "Under 15"=) grouping means that, if a player is 14 years old on the cutoff date, she=may participate in U15 competition as a 15-year old. </strong><br /> <br /> <strong><u>Tryouts for Select Teams</u></strong> will be held on<br /> August 28 (U11) (birthdates 9/1/2000-8/31/2002),<br /> August 29 (U13) (birthdates 9/1/1998-8/31/2000)<br /> August 30 (U15) (birthdates 9/1/1996-8/31/1998).<br /> Registration for tryouts will open on July 15 for all players who are inter=sted. You must first register for a house/rec team before registering for =ryouts.<br /> <br /> <strong><u>The Fall season</u></strong> is tentatively scheduled as:<br /> Practice: September 9<br /> Game 1: September 16<br /> Game 2: September 23<br /> Game 3: September 30<br /> Game 4: October 7<br /> Game 5: October 14<br /> Game 6: October 21<br /> Game 7: October 28 Playoffs<br /> Rain Date: November 4<br /> <br /> <strong><u>Clinics</u></strong><br /> <br /> We will offer a Scooper Clinic for kindergarteners from 12:00-1:00pm at Nor=h Bethesda Middle School. This clinic will run for 6 Saturdays in a row (S=ptember15-October 20). In the Scooper clinic, players will learn the funda=entals of the game in a safe and fun-filled environment. No equipment is n=cessary. Players will be supplied with a stick. The cost for this clinic i= $125.<br /> <br /> <a href="http://assn.la/Reg/?r=2:91192">Click here to register for Scoo=ers</a><br /> <br /> We will offer an Instructional Clinic for 1st-6th graders from 11:00am=12:00pm at North Bethesda Middle School. This clinic will run for 6 Saturd=ys in a row (September 15-October 20). The Instructional Clinic will be av=ilable for players new to the game and for girls with experience. Less exp=rienced girls will be learning the fundamentals including stick handling a=d then progress to scrimmages. More experienced girls will refine sti=k handling, review field positions and then work toward scrimmages.
