Dear Eric，

The doctor informed us today that my father would receive the radiofrequency treatment again next Monday. After that he will further receive the biological target therapy. It would be extremely helpful if you could provide a list of suggested medications at this point to maximize the result of the therapy.

I sincerely appreciate your help，
Bessie

Thanks, Bessie.

Given that it is a holiday today in the U.S. and Hunter and I are traveling for the next couple days give us a few days to do some research and get back to you. Hunter already reached out to his brother-in-law so hopefully we’ll have some information by the end of the week.

Dear Eric,

I put the answers in the order of your questions.

1) My father is not receiving any chemotherapy. The treatments he is receiving currently are immunotherapy . Some of his genes were taken from the tumors during the radio frequency ablation treatment in order to be examined, and he will not use the biological target therapy until the results come out.

2) The tumor is located in the liver, and it has not spread.

3)The doctors have not informed us about the stage. He discovered the cancer without any pain/symptoms, just during a regular body check. It is very possible that it is still in its earliest stage.

4) For now, we would like to know the best treatments used in the U.S. for this specific type of cancer.

Thanks so much for helping!

Bessie/Bo-

Very sorry to hear about your father/grandfather.

Could you answer a few more questions for us so we can help you further?

1) In addition to the radio frequency ablation, is your father receiving any chemotherapy? If so, what drug is being used? Has the RFA been successful in eliminating the tumor?

2) Where in the tumor is the body? Has the cancer spread anywhere else?

3) What is the prognosis and what stage in the cancer (Stage One, Two, Three or Four)?

4) Are you ultimately looking to have your father treated in the U.S. or would you just like to be aware of the best treatments being used in the U.S. for this type of cancer?

Sorry for all the questions, but this will help us find out the right answers for you.

Thanks,

Eric

Dear Sir/Madam,

My father is 77 years old and is unfortunately diagnosed with “hepatic angiosarcoma”. Since the cases are very rare around the world, I
am wondering whether your institution has handled any cases of such disease. If
any, would you please be so kind as to inform me of the details?

At present, my father is receiving radiofrequency ablation. After the treatment taken on 24 June, his condition
has been well so far.

I highly appreciate your support and I'm sure it will be helpful.

Bessie Xiao

Eric is going to brief me on this today. I have not received anything from your aunt. The first people I would reach out to are my brother-in-law Howard and my contacts at M.D. Anderson. They are going to want as much of the details as possible in order for them to make any kind of recommendation. I've CCed Eric on this.
