Yeah, sorry for the rapid e-mail last night. I was on a plane when I sent it. I spoke to Beau last night, and he suggested I connect with both of you.


Eli Broad is the billionaire philanthropist who wants to buy the LA Times. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eli_Broad He is a big donor to the DNC, and thus, I thought you guys might know him. If not, please let me know, and I will just call him directly.


He has been very vocal that he would like to buy the LA Times when Tribune emerges from bankruptcy. We can make that dream a reality, in that we will soon own the low-cost operator in Southern California. An integration of both printing operations would save $60m+ per year.
