Andrew - it may be worthwhile to explore the possibility of developing data that could highlight the location/movement of displaced populations (displaced by both conflict and weather-related disasters).

Rick, Hunt,

Let's get together and see if we can get something going. I spoke to our satellite imaging partner, Digital Globe yesterday and was inspired. I don't know what we should do exactly, but I think we could produce something powerful.

What if we produced some kind of mapping and analysis micro-website using satellite imagery? I know you all did a 2015 Hunger Map, but what if we layered a high-fidelity map with meaningful satellite imagery, analysis and multi-media that focuses on the impact of global food security on critical US strategic interests?

Kimberly Flowers' program at CSIS is intended to study and highlights the impact of global food security on critical U.S. strategic interests, such as political stability and economic prosperity, through desk and field research, analytic publications, and public and private events. As you all know, she has been doing some terrific work and convening strong events.

I've copied Craig Cohen here who is our EVP and I believe you both have met at one time or another. This is outside of my expertise obviously but I have a good feeling that if we try to get together again with Kimberely, we can come up with a smart way to execute a multi-media project that tells a story and has policy impact.

Let me know your thoughts.
Best,
Andrew
