Hunter - the name of the security officer in Kenya is Mark Warne-Smith; his email address is: mark.warne-smith@wfp.org<mailto:mark.warne-smith@wfp.org> Mark should be able to provide information about security in Kenya but If you/Rob need additional information, I would be happy to reach out to the State Department too. As you know, there have been a few bombings recently related to the Kenyan military's operations in Somalia. I also hope your Georgetown buddies enjoyed your excellent reunion party without you. I'm not sure if you can help with this, but I need a favor if possible -- do you know anyone or have access to any sources of detailed and current security/terrorism threat information for East Africa/Kenya? Our foundation is running a service trip to Kenya in a few weeks for 16 teenagers and we're trying to make a go/no-go decision given the recent attacks and threats by al Shabaab. Right now we're moving ahead, but I would love to have more information beyond what we get in the media. Lots of parents are latching onto media reports that are unreliable or are intentionally sensational for political/propaganda purposes. I need to know the real deal so we can make rational decisions. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks -- Rob Norton | Relay | 202.403.4548 www.relaystrategies.com<http://www.relaystrategies.com/>
