Last week’s June 5^th primary for Attorney General in Montana looks to have been the closest contest of season with Pam Bucy, MT Department of Labor Administrative Counsel, just surpassing her Democratic opponent Jesse Laslovich. Throughout Election Day the race looked very close, but no one could have expected the tight finish with only 850 votes separating the two highly qualified candidates. Bucy defeated Jesse Laslovich by one point receiving 50.4% to his 49.3%. Bucy will face 2008 Republican attorney general nominee Tim Fox. Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock (D) easily won his primary last night in the race to succeed popular Governor Brian Schweitzer. Attorney General Bullock will face Rick Hill in November.
