Hi everyone,

Apologies for the delay but we just confirmed that we will be departing for the Australia Trip on Wednesday, July 13th. The earliest that we would depart is 10:40am from the Naval Observatory for a 11:00am Wheels Up from Andrews. There is a small chance that we push that time back a few hours but for the time we should stick to that plan.

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

I just wanted to touch base with all of your regarding the upcoming travel to Hawaii & Australia. I have to warn that due to the recent shootings and events in our country, the departure schedule is being worked out as we speak. We may depart Tuesday and make a stop in Dallas, TX but if not we will depart NavObs on Wednesday morning. All timings are still being worked out and I will keep you updated as soon as I find out.

Tuesday, July 12
TENTATIVE: Morning Departure for Dallas, TX and fly to San Diego, CA

Wednesday, July 13
TENTATIVE: San Diego and Los Angeles, CA (The VP is scheduled to introduce at the ESPY awards in LA). After the ESPY awards they will fly to Hawaii.

Thursday, July 14
LOCATION: Honolulu, HI
WEATHER: High 70's-Low 80's. (Beautiful according to Kathy who will be there when they arrive!)
EVENTS: Meeting with Foreign Leaders (morning), Remarks to US Troops onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Stennis (afternoon).

Friday-Saturday July 15-16
LOCATION: Honolulu, HI traveling to Melbourne, Australia (arriving in Australia late Saturday night)

Sunday, July 17
LOCATION: Melbourne Australia
WEATHER: It is considered winter in Australia which means the weather is in the mid-low 50's with occasional rain.
EVENTS: Remark at Cancer Event (morning), Attend Australian Football Game (mid-afternoon), Dinner hosted by Governor (evening)

Monday, July 18
LOCATION: Melbourne, Australia traveling to Sydney
WEATHER: Mid-low 50's
EVNETS: Remarks at Boeing Factory (Melborne in the morning), Meeting with Foreign Leader (evening once arrived in Sydney)

Tuesday, July 19
LOCATION: Sydney, Australia
WEATHER: Mid-Upper 50's
EVENTS: Visit with Defense Minister (Morning), Business Roundtable (early afternoon), Harbor Cruise and visit to the Sydney Zoo (afternoon)

Wednesday, July 20
TENTATIVE: Sydney traveling to Auckland, New Zealand
WEATHER: Mid 50's
EVENTS: TBD

Thursday, July 21
TENTATIVE: Auckland, New Zealand depart for USA
