Private instrument lessons give students an opportunity to develop/enhance skill on a musical instrument, with the goal of eventually participating in a Middle and/or Upper School ensemble. Lessons also provide the essential, instrument-specific focus that an ensemble experience can’t always address. Sidwell students currently participating in a school instrumental ensemble are strongly encouraged to take private lessons. Lessons provide the invaluable support for the young musician, while challenging the advanced student in need of more demanding repertoire and technique.

30, 45 or 60-minute lessons will be offered for the following instruments:

Violin, Cello
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone
Guitar
Electric Bass
Drum Set
Jazz Piano (covers all contemporary piano styles)

NOTE: With limited lesson space/time, instruments offered are chosen to support growth in current SFS ensemble programs. For instruments not listed, please inquire via the contact information below.

If you are interested in this program in a new or returning capacity, and/or would like more information, please login to the SFS Lesson Program webpage in order to:

1.
