Dear Members,

As we continue to contend with the current drought, we must begin to implement certain cart restrictions. Effective immediately and until further notice, please keep carts on paths on all par 3 holes. If the drought continues, we will inform you of further cart restrictions. As always, please continue to avoid driving through worn areas and scatter cart tracks.

Additionally, some members have commented on the yellow “rings” that have recently been seen on greens such as #17. The “ring” is caused by a fungus named Brown Ring Patch or Waitea (Rhizoctonia circinata) that affects the type of turf that we have on our greens. Normally, we do not attempt to control this disease because it does not affect the turf’s long-term health, is only a visual distraction, and is short-term. In cases, such as or 17th Green and several others, we have decided to treat the green surfaces with a fungicide that will reduce the severity.
