From comparing DACA recipients to MS-13 gang members to stating “I don’t agree that profiling is wrong,” to tweeting that diversity is wrong for our country, Steve King’s bigoted commentary has been in full force these last couple of months.

It is upsetting that this is the man who represents myself, my friends, and my neighbors to the rest of the country. The people I know don’t speak like that and they don’t think like him -- which is why I decided to run to unseat King.

In many rural Iowa communities, the qualities that have made living there so attractive are beginning to slip away. But, I believe passionately that we can turn things around -- and so do a lot of other people.

A Des Moines Register Iowa poll showed that Democrats in the 4th are within striking distance, 39-36, of unseating Steve King. This shows that if we come together, and put people over politics, we can make great things happen throughout this region.
