When I was deciding whether to run against Congressman Steve King, a 15-year incumbent, I talked to a lot of people -- from my family members, to my friends, to my neighbors. And everyone I talked to said the same thing: they don't talk like King, and they don't think like him.

A lot of us here in Iowa’s Fourth District are tired of having a representative who doesn’t represent the values that we hold dear, and who doesn't work to solve the problems our families face every day. So when I launched my campaign, I knew I wanted it to be people-powered, through and through -- and that starts with hearing from you.
