Dear Robert,

We’ve tied it.

Against the odds and the doubters, we’ve now wrestled the House of Delegates from Republican control.

What this means? More control, better legislation, and a much better chance of improving the lives of Virginians.

We did this together: The campaigns. The volunteers. The party. The PACs… we all contributed to victories that to many seemed impossible.

And in the end it came down to ONE VOTE.

Today, Shelly Simonds’ race was recounted and she won her election in HD28, giving us our 50th seat.

BY ONE VOTE.

This is why we need to Run Everywhere.

This is why we must run in even more seats, fight like hell through 2018, and take the majority outright in (or before) 2019.

I could not be more grateful to those of you that donated, volunteered, and/or otherwise supported us or any of these victories. Even those who lost made it more difficult for the GOP to win. Every candidate counted and every effort made a difference.
