R.Hunter: If we want to defend Planned Parenthood, secure our health care and protect our environment, we must take back the Senate in 2018. The Washington Post recently reported that the only way we can do that is by turning Arizona blue, so it's absolutely imperative that Democrats nationwide fight as hard as they can to help Rep. Kyrsten Sinema win next November.

Sen. Jeff Flake's retirement puts this seat very much in play, and The Cook Political Report is now even calling this race a "Toss Up." We know Republicans are going to do everything in their power - and spend every dollar in their coffers - to keep Arizona red and maintain their majority. So it's up to grassroots Democrats like you to help Kyrsten fight back.

Kyrsten has a major fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, so I told her this morning that this team would help her hit her $10,000 goal. R.Hunter, I'm counting on you to give $5 right now to help Kyrsten win in Arizona and take back the Senate for Democrats.

I have known Kyrsten for many years and consider her a close friend. Her commitment to helping children and struggling families is personal. As a child, her family lived in an abandoned gas station - without electricity or running water - for just about three years. But she channeled her own family's struggles into working hard and doing good for those around her. She graduated college at 18, went on to become a social worker, and now is one of the leading voices in the House.

We need Kyrsten's passion and perspective, courage and commitment in the Senate. Just as she's done her entire life, she'll work tirelessly on behalf of her constituents.

This race is razor thin, so she needs every dollar she can get to flip this seat from red to blue.
