Dear Members and Friends,

At MAD, we proudly offer the cultural riches of art and design to a quarter of a million museum visitors annually. Among them are ten thousand school-aged children, who benefit from MAD's arts education programs. For many children in New Yorkâs public school system, MAD offers their primaryâif not onlyâaccess to a formal arts education. An artist-centered museum, we have a focus on highlighting studio practice and process through the commissioning of new work (10 pieces in 2017) and the support of 21 local artists a year through our Artist Studios Program. This provides studio space, stipends, and opportunities for residents to display their work, build vital connections, and develop lasting skills.Â

Our innovative exhibitions (http://madmuseum.org/exhibitions) and programs continue to thrive (60 years strong!), thanks to the generosity of artists, designers, educators, patrons, members, and visitors. We are thankful that you are among those who make our mission possible.
