I spent a lot of time traveling to every corner of our great state when I was Lieutenant Governor, and I know Iowa does better when Democrats are in office. 2018 is make or break for our state, and we need strong, passionate Democratic leaders in office. That's why I'm so proud to endorse Abby Finkenauer for Congress, and finally send a voice for working families to Congress in Iowa's 1st.

1. The daughter of a union pipefitter welder and a longtime Dubuque Community Schools employee, Abby has been a lifelong resident of the 1st and a powerful advocate for her community.

2. If elected, Abby will be a voice for you and your families, not for special interests or major corporations.

3. This district has strong Democratic roots, and Abby is the perfect candidate to flip it back to blue and take it back for the people.

From being one of just 11 campaigns named to the DCCC’s Red to Blue program to being regarded by nonpartisan election forecasters as a true toss-up, Abby’s campaign has had quite the quarter. Now, they need to finish strong in order to head into 2018 with some serious momentum.
