Dear Hunter,

Nancy and I were given the gift of seeing your father Thursday evening
during his stop in Asheville. In light of the present political climate, it
was a lift that I needed in order to recall there is a great deal of love,
intelligence, hope and sanity that remain in our country.

I think often of our visit to Washington and the time we spent together
with you, your kindness and patience with us when we visited the Vice
President's office, lunched together and, above all, your visit to
Asheville with Beau. In all, and including our visit to the Biden home in
DE, I treasure having met your respective families, often wonder how you
all are and continue to feel the incredible love within and *of* the Bidens.

Specific to you, Hunter, I have been meaning to invite you back to
Asheville and to offer our mountain-top cabin should your and your loved
ones desire or need a quite, secluded getaway for a period of time of your
choosing. Just let me know and I will arrange what you wish. I will be glad
to send pictures and some details upon your request.
