Governor Carney to Sign Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act

NEWARK, Del. – At 1 p.m. on Monday, Governor John Carney will join former Vice President Joe Biden, Dr. Jill Biden, Representative David Bentz, Senator Margaret Rose Henry and others at the Biden Institute on the campus of the University of Delaware as he signs into the law the Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act<https://news.delaware.gov/2018/04/24/final-passage-of-beau-biden-gun-violence-prevention-act/>. The Beau Biden Act, passed unanimously by the General Assembly, would help restrict access to firearms for those who mental health professionals believe present a danger to themselves or others. The Act mirrors legislation championed by former Attorney General Beau Biden in 2013.
