I -- Sender: Señora Pickens pickensn@sidwell.edu For Class: Basketball Dear parents and players, I have agreed to be the team parent for the Sidwell girls' basketball fall league. We will be participating in the Montgomery County league, and we will have 2 games every Sunday for the month of October. Poff is not allowed per league rules to coach the team, so Sidwell grad Tiara Wood will be coaching. The cost of the league is $850, and Poff has written a personal check to cover it. We are suggesting a payment of $100 per player - however, if you have a hardship or know you will only make it to a couple of games, we ask that you pay the portion that feels right to you. If we collect more than $850, everyone will be reimbursed proportionately. (Let me know privately if you would like to be notified in the event that we do not collect the total $850 and you are willing to contribute more.). I will share schedule information as I receive it. We know family schedule are crazy, and many of the girls are playing multiple sports right now, so it will be crucial to communicate availability so we are sure to have at least seven players at every game. I'm happy to carpool, and I'm sure there are others who can offer rides as needed, which should increase attendance.
