This letter is written in support of the Alumni Association of Dowling, its 45,000 alumni members and its business leadership team's efforts to acquire the real estate of the former Dowling College and its initiative's to restart Dowling College and or start a new institution of higher learning.


The Alumni Association of Dowling leadership has developed a plan to secure a new and bright future for Dowling College. It has put together an experienced and professional team to support the following critical parts of the new business model including but not limited to financing, business development, education curriculum, faculty, support staff, food service alliances and development, branding, sports programs initiatives with nationally known sports management persons and celebrities, medical research, diversity leadership initiative with nationally recognized business leaders, national and international internship programs for students, alliances with corporate and private sector, alliances and partnerships with regional, national and international not for profits and governmental agencies, fund raising, board governance, accreditation and more.


It is our intent to support and work with the alumni association and its partners to be back a new and vibrant college that will be a major contributor to the local economies they serve and create new needed full and part time employment to those communities.


There is a need for more choices in education on Long Island and a new Dowling College with it new business model and team is going to make Dowling the shining star of higher education.
