Dear Board of Directors,

I am pleased to share that we have confirmed our meeting with Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel on Wednesday morning. The meeting will take place at the USGLC Office, 1129 20th Street NW, 6th floor. Please arrive promptly at 9:30 a.m. for a brief prep-session as Ms. Ricardel will arrive at 10:00 a.m.

I realize some of you may not be able to make it, but I do hope for those that can, you make every effort to join us. As a reminder, Deputy Ricardel has been the point person for the Foreign Assistance Review and as I have reported, she is skeptical about the effectiveness of elements of global development.

As we approach the 2018 midterm elections, team USGLC will share the latest from around the country on the road to the 2020 campaign.

Special Guest: Heather Nauert, Acting Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs
A key member of Secretary Pompeo's inner circle will join us for a conversation on the importance of development and diplomacy. Not only does this present an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the Administration, but note that Heather is often mentioned as a potential future White House Press Secretary.
