Dear Maisy, As you know, you are eligible for 50% extended time on tests, exams, and quizzes longer than 20 minutes and computer use for written assessments. This means that you will have 68 minutes to complete a 45-minute assessment. For computer use, you will need to ensure communication with your teacher to access a laptop during in-class essays. Since you will need to complete your assessment outside of your regular 45-minute class time, you will need to work with each teacher to develop a plan for taking your tests. Most students take a portion of the test in Study Hall with a proctor during a free period, while others may need to coordinate with their teacher to work during lunch period, or before/after school, depending on the teacher’s determination. Some teachers may coordinate additional arrangements with me. This week, please talk to each of your teachers to create a plan for taking tests this year. If you need my help to facilitate these meetings, please let me know. I also want to let you know that for the first few rounds, you must email your teachers at least 24 hours before each test to remind them of your accommodation. If you have any questions about accessing accommodations, please feel free to reach out to me! I look forward to seeing you soon! Sincerely, Ms. Muhayya US Learning Support Coordinato
