***REMINDER - THIS SATURDAY MORNING, SEPTEMBER 8 AT 9AM*** LBCA - COMMUNITY MEETING

Please attend this important public meeting on September 8th at 9 am at the Long Beach Community Center (former Long Beach School).

Indiana State Senator Karen Tallian and Save the Dunes Executive Director Natalie Johnson will join us to discuss many issues that have arisen on the beach this summer. These issues include:

Dune plowing, and related permit and Clean Water Act violations in 1400 - 1800 blocks of LSD and an LBCA petition for a public hearing on one of those DNR permit applications Attempts to cover the public beach with rock revetments in 2200 block of LSD and an upcoming DNR public hearing on one such permit application Long Beach Lakefront Homeowners Association hiring a private security service to harass beach users DNR’s lack of enforcement of the Natural OHWM and what we can do about it Possible legislation to clarify public rights on the beach and DNR’s responsibilities Town of Long Beach building permits for lakefront properties and the new Beach Protection Ordinance - What do Town of Long Beach ordinances now require?
