I'm excited to let you know that I will be co-hosting an event in Washington, DC on July 13, 2018 to support my friend Lauren Baer, who is running for Congress in Florida's 18th Congressional District (north of Palm Beach). She's a wonderful person and an outstanding candidate.

As you likely know well, Lauren is an attorney and foreign policy expert who served as an official in the Obama Administration from 2011-2017, acting as a senior advisor to Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, and to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power. Prior she was a litigator at WilmerHale LLP, where she focused on transnational disputes and federal appellate matters. Lauren holds a B.A. from Harvard University, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and an MPhil from the University of Oxford, where she was a Marshall Scholar. Lauren currently lives in Palm Beach Gardens where she and her wife, Emily, are raising their young daughter, Serena.
