Per our discussion at the last NDI Board meeting, it would be an honor to have Vice President Biden serve as Keynote Speaker at the second annual "Demand Solutions: Ideas for Improving the Quality of Life" event co-hosted by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Blum Centers for Developing Economies at UC Berkeley and UCLA. This event is incredibly dynamic and influential to both the IDB and its attendees, and serves as an important opportunity to raise awareness about the need for the international development community to continue supporting innovative solutions to poverty in LAC.

The keynote speech will take place at the IDB headquarters in Washington, D.C. on December 2, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Demand Solutions will bring together some of the most creative minds to present innovative solutions that are accelerating improvements in human welfare around the world. This year, in addition to these global innovators, Demand Solutions will showcase the creative ventures of 15 startups from Latin America and the Caribbean working on improving the lives of those around them.

May I ask you to forward along with the attached invitation letter to the Vice President unless you think it's more useful to go through his office directly.
