In the 2010 Quadrennial Defense Review, the Department of Defense clearly laid out the national security threats we face due to climate change. In fact, they called climate change a "threat multiplier." This past June, the Obama Administration announced a policy that would face this threat head on.

By strengthening emissions standards for power plants, we will reduce the effects of climate change and help keep America safe and strong.

Unfortunately, there are some in Congress who are ignoring the military and challenging this policy. That is why Truman Fellow and Operation Free veteran Jon Gensler helped us make this ad:
