Keeping Tax Cuts for the Middle Class

President Obama is pushing hard to keep tax cuts in place for 98 percent of American families next year. Yesterday, the Senate voted to do just that. In his remarks last night at the National Urban League [ http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2012/07/26/president-obama-speaks-national-urban-league?utm_source=072612&utm_medium=topper&utm_campaign=daily ], the President called on the House to do the same to help the middle class:

They should not be holding middle-class tax cuts hostage just to get more tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. At a time when so many people who have a job can barely keep up with their bills, we don’t need another trillion-dollar tax cut for folks like me. We need tax cuts for working Americans, not for folks who don't need it and weren't even asking for it.
