Albright Grant to Aswat Nisaa (Women\u2019s Voices) of Tunisia, a group formed after the 2011 revolution to give women a greater role in the country's political life and democratic transition. The organization will use the $25,000 grant to help women run in Tunisia\u2019s 2015 municipal council elections and to support them once elected to promote equal opportunities for women in political, economic and social life. Donate here Bosnian Politicians Respond to Citizens https://contribute.ndi.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=6243&qid=623338 Bosnia Thousands of people took to the streets in Bosnia-Herzegovina last month to protest government inaction on issues such as unemployment, poverty and corruption in the most violent demonstrations the country has experienced since the war ended there in 1996. While most politicians have failed to respond, a group of seven political figures from different political parties has taken action by tackling electoral reform, creating a party code of conduct and passing legislation to address corruption. The parliamentary exchange, which brought them to Washington, DC and Richmond, VA, gave the MPs the chance to meet with members of Congress, congressional staff, State Department representatives, as well as Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and local Virginia legislators.
