The Democratic Party ----------------------- Robert -- I know I get more excited about the nitty-gritty details of policy than most normal people, but this one's pretty easy to appreciate: Thanks to Obamacare, this summer 12.8 million Americans got a refund from their health insurance companies. Under the Affordable Care Act, insurance companies have to spend at least 80 percent of premiums on health care for patients -- visits to the doctor, medication, and quality improvement -- and not on administration, overhead, or corporate profits for themselves. Those that don't meet this standard owe their members a refund. Imagine that: Health care premiums going to pay for actual care. It's just another way Obamacare is helping millions of Americans -- and another benefit that would be lost if Mitt Romney and the Republicans win big in November. Democrats made it happen, and it's on us to keep pushing forward. If you want to see more progress like this, donate $146 or more to support Democrats today: https://my.democrats.org/Fight-Back-Today4 The Affordable Care Act expands preventive care, ends price discrimination against women, extends access to affordable insurance for all Americans, and puts care ahead of profits -- these all seem like commonsense reforms to me. Yet Mitt Romney and the Republicans can't wait to roll it all back; the House has already voted 33 times to repeal or dismantle it -- time they could have spent passing legislation that actually gets something done. But despite their efforts, we've been able to stand strong and protect the reforms we fought so hard for -- and Americans are starting to see the benefits, in their care and in their wallets. We need four more years to keep waging, and winning, fights like these. Help us keep up the fight by supporting Democrats with $146 today: https://my.democrats.org/Fight-Back-Today4 Thanks, Jeffrey Jeffrey Lerner Political Director Democratic National Committee ************************************************************** PAID FOR BY OBAMA VICTORY FUND 2012, A JOINT FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE AUTHORIZED BY OBAMA FOR AMERICA, THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE, AND THE STATE DEMOCRATIC PARTIES IN THE FOLLOWING STATES: CO, FL, IA, NV, NH, NC, OH, PA, VA, AND WI.
