The national excitement surrounding Venture for America continues to grow. VFA will serve as a sponsor for the Huffington Post's Entrepreneurship Expo at both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions in August and September. The Expo will spotlight entrepreneurs who are changing the country. We expect several hundred influential political, community, and business leaders to attend the Expo. In addition, it will be covered by media outlets from across the country. Attached is the background and logistical information. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Our extremely talented class of Fellows have spent the last month in Providence, RI at Brown University for their Training Camp. The camp consist of readings and discussions as well as lectures and meetings with seasoned investors and entrepreneurs.

The goals of the Venture Fellow Training Camp are as follows:

1. Provide each Venture Fellow job-related skills to enable them to quickly be productive for an early stage company
2. Train each Venture Fellow in the ethos of entrepreneurship and job creation
3. Engender relationships and collective identity among the Venture Fellows

The Fellows have documented their experiences on Tumblr http://vfafellows.tumblr.com/.

In the next couple of weeks they will officially begin their Fellowship working at innovative startups in Cincinnati, Detroit, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Providence. Next month I will visit Fellows in Detroit. As you know I am a Detroit area native, and I couldn't be more excited about the group we have headed there.
