O'Say Can You See PAC, Governor Martin O'Malley
www.MartinOMalley.comMaryland's legislative session is about to end, so over the next few days, you'll see headlines focused on everything we've accomplished this year -- and together we've accomplished some very important things.

But before our legislative session ends, I wanted to share a few of the choices we've made together that may not make the front page.

1) With better choices, we've restrained spending to just 2% per year on average -- that's the lowest in more than 30 years.

2) Because we have made job creation our #1 priority, Maryland has created 38,200 new jobs in the last 12 months, with Maryland businesses creating jobs at a nearly 60% faster rate than our neighbors in Virginia.

3) And by maintaining a balanced approach, we're now on the verge of nearly eliminating the almost $2 billion structural deficit we inherited in 2007. We've done this while at the same time protecting record investments in education, innovation and infrastructure.

These past few years have not been easy, but together, because of better choices, we're seeing better results.
